Delhi, NCR Air Pollution Latest News: The Delhi government has declared an early winter recess for schools due to the ongoing severe air quality conditions.

In light of the persistently high levels of air pollution in the national capital, the Supreme Court issued a directive on Tuesday, instructing the Punjab government to cease the practice of stubble burning. Additionally, the apex court directed the states of Punjab, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan to immediately halt stubble burning. At 6 am on Wednesday, the overall air quality in Delhi was still categorized as ‘very poor,’ based on data from the System of Air Quality and Weather Forecasting And Research (SAFAR). The Air Quality Index (AQI) stood at 356, having previously surpassed 400 (reaching the ‘severe’ category) in recent days. Currently, Stage IV of the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP) has been put into effect in the national capital due to the city’s air quality deteriorating to the ‘severe plus’ category.

Delhi Air Pollution: Real-time Air Quality Index (AQI)

Live Updates on Delhi Air Pollution: Pollution levels in the capital have slightly decreased, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) now falling into the 'very poor' category.

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB), the 24-hour average Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi was 395 on Tuesday, indicating a modest improvement compared to the AQI of 421 recorded on Monday.

According to BJP leader Shehzad Poonawalla, it is evident that the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) should issue an apology to the public following criticism from the Supreme Court. He asserts that AAP’s performance has been lacking, leading to the severe air pollution crisis in Delhi. Poonawalla highlights the fact that prior to coming to power in Punjab, Arvind Kejriwal, the AAP leader, consistently attributed air quality issues to stubble burning in Punjab and promised a swift resolution once in office. However, he points out that stubble burning cases have surged by nearly 750 percent. Poonawalla concludes by emphasizing that Arvind Kejriwal and the AAP have been quick to blame others without fulfilling their own responsibilities.

Review

Worst movie of the year 2023. VFX quality is childish. The acting of the protagonists is 🤢. Costume designing is 🤧. Hairstyles are 😭.
If you want to watch Ramayana, then go for Ramanand Sagar’s RAMAYANA. You can watch it for free on YouTube.
Look, it’s your choice, your money, whether you want to watch the movie on big screen or not.
Salman Khan’s movies show these 🤧 types of VFX and acting skills. There is no doubt about that.
Mr. Director probably thought that Indian youths were dumb and emotional to Sri Rama. So, they would surely go and watch the movie.
Now, the real question:-
Is it worth going to the theater and watching the movie?
Well, my suggestion is a big “NO”.

 GST Reform in India

If you are a registered business entity in India, you must comply with the norms of the income tax department to sustain your business’s legal status. Businesses in India are required to pay various taxes as per Indian Company law. GST (Goods and Services Tax) is also one of the latest tax reforms by the Indian Government with the purpose of improving the tax collection and economic growth of India. GST is a transaction-based tax levied by suppliers on goods and services.

Due to GST reform, indirect tax collection has changed completely. It is one tax that replaced a number of indirect taxes such as excise duty, VAT, and service tax.

Type of GST in India

Goods and services tax has been classified into three categories:

Central GST

It is the GST collected by the central government on goods and services transactions.

State GST

SGST is the type of GST collected by the state authority where the goods or service has been supplied.

Interstate GST

If your business delivers goods and services between the states; then the IGST will also be imposed on the transaction of goods and services in India.

Who should register for GST?

If you are a business in India, you must register for GST to get tax benefits per government rules.

If your business turnover doesn’t exceed 20 Lakh turnover, it is not mandatory for the business to go for online GST registration.

Note: This limit is 10 Lakh for North Eastern states

If your business turnover crosses the above-prescribed limit then you must register for GST. Although this condition doesn’t applies if you are a business which is involved in frequent inter state transactions but your turnover has not exceeded the limit.

Here are some questions to ask yourself in order to judge if you require GST.

Does your business annual turnover crosses 20 lakh?

Do you make interstate sales frequently?

Are you an online seller or vendor?

Do you sell products of a taxable entity?

If answer is “yes” to one or all questions; then you definitely require GST registration online.

What is reverse charge in GST tax structure?

Reverse Tax is an important term coined at time of GST reform. It is defined as the liability of the recipient of goods and services to pay tax instead of supplier of goods and services.
